This book is a collection of the sayings and directives of Rabbi Yisroel Baal Shem Tov (5458-5520; 1697-1760). Rabbi Aharon Hakohen of Apta collected them largely from the written works of Rabbi Yaakov Yosef Hakohen of Polani, a student of the Baal Shem Tov, who is known for having written Toldos Yaakov Yosef.
This edition has been completely recompiled with copious annotations, corrections, footnotes and cross references.
