This work consists of the Frierdiker Rebbe's memoirs originally written in Hebrew, which tell Chassidic stories dating from before the arrival of the Baal Shem Tov.
Unlike most memoirs filled with hubris, the sixth Rebbe penned this memoir to introduce us to the origins of Lubavitch, specifically the spiritual journey of Baruch, father of Rabbi Schneur Zalman of Liadi, the first leader of Chabad-Lubavitch.
