The Baal Shem Tov taught everyone that Hashem is always near, and there's nothing else to fear.
Rabbi Yisroel Baal Shem Tov (Master of the Good Name) founded the Chassidic Movement in the early 18th century.
When Reb Yisroel was just a young child, his father's final message to him was: fear nothing but G-ds himself, and love every Jew with all your heart and soul. The Baal Shem Tov devoted himself to spreading that message and uplifting the Jewish people, physically and spiritually.
He brought young children to study Torah in cheder, and he taught destitute and unlearned Jews that their simple, sincere service is beloved and cherished by G-d. His philosophy, his teachings, and the stories of amazing miracles he performed continue to uplift and inspire to this very day.
