Photographed in the 1970`s by noted photographer Mal Warshaw, these artistic portraits are reproduced on high quality, matte photographic paper.
Mal Warshaw authored the pictorial book Tradition: Jewish Life in America, published in 1976, during which the Rebbe`s secretary, Rabbi Yehuda Krinsky, secured special access for him to photograph the Rebbe.
In autumn of 1976, Mr. Warshaw exhibited his photographs at the Brooklyn Museum, under the name "Tradition: Photographs by Mal Warsaw of the Lubavitch in Brooklyn."
During Chol Hamoed Sukkos of that year the Rebbe encouraged the large group of guests that came from France for Tishrei to visit Mr. Warshaw`s exhibit.
This photo was taken on Erev Rosh Hashanah 1972 as the Rebbe exited his car in front of "770." |
