The Chasidic Heritage Series is an innovative learning tool that offers user-friendly translations of classic Chasidic discourses. The translations of these typically intricate discourses have been thoughtfully prepared to facilitate the readerís thorough comprehension without assuming much prior knowledge. To this end, the text features an extensive introduction, a vowelized Hebrew text, and captions for easy reference, and footnotes that explain obscure concepts and source references for further study. This series is the text choice for both study group and individual study.
One of the highlights of my Shlichus, is the Shiur I give every Shabbos morning in Chassidus before daavening. There is absolutely nothing like learning/teaching a Maamer, but the challenge in the past was that many who participated were not able to follow the Hebrew text (especially without nekudos).
Since the advent of the Chassidic Heritage Series, the teachings of the Rebbeim has become accessible to all. With each Maamer divided into chapters and paragraphs, printed in a beautiful Hebrew font with vowels, side by side to a flowing English translation, and exemplary notes of explanation - everyone attending the Shiur is engaged and inspired.
We recently, completed the Maamer Padoh V`Sholom - All For The Sake of Heaven - from the Rebbe Rashab. The participants at the shiur - of all backgrounds and levels - were enthralled by the deep message and practical relevance of this Maamer. The pages of the Maamer came alive as a prescription for dealing with the daily challenges of life.
On behalf of all the participants of the Shabbos shiur at Chabad of Northbrook, IL, please convey our deepest appreciation to Kehos and the Chassidic Heritage "team" for making Chassidus accessible to all. We anxiously await the next publications in this series, for it truly is our weekly dose of Divrei Elokim Chayim.
