-Learning the tunes of the "Trop"
-Rules of Hebrew Grammer necessary for reading the Torah "...It is essential to introduce into the curriculum...the ability to read according to the Trop, in order that they may know how to read through the weekly Parsha
- the Chumash text twice, followed by the Targum [Aramaic translation by Onkelos] once
- according to the musical notes which we have received by tradition.
